His work spans rock, blues, country-rock and singer-songwriter styles. At Ovation, Kirk brings that working-musician perspective into his teaching and mentoring, helping students develop musicianship, creativity, confidence and the skills needed to play and create music with others.

Randy Scott Peterson is a Berklee College of Music graduate, musician, recording engineer and sound engineer with more than 20 years of professional and teaching experience. Classically trained in guitar, Randy also works across guitar, bass and saxophone, bringing a broad musical and technical background to his students. At Ovation, he teaches and mentors developing musicians while helping them understand both performance and the recording process—from playing together as a band to creating music in the studio.

Travis Wetzel is an award-winning fiddler, violinist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and vocalist with decades of professional performance and recording experience. His career has included performances and recordings with legendary artists including Bill Monroe, Jesse McReynolds, Del McCoury, Doyle Lawson and Mac Wiseman, along with appearances at the Grand Ole Opry and the Kennedy Center. Equally at home in bluegrass, country, jazz, swing, Celtic and classical music, Travis teaches violin, fiddle, guitar, vocals, mandolin, banjo and cello. At Ovation, he combines extraordinary professional experience with patient instruction and mentoring, helping students build technique, musicianship, confidence and performance skills.

GREG RAUSCH

Greg Rausch is a guitarist, songwriter, producer and mentor with extensive experience in the Nashville music community. His songwriting credits include collaborations with Grammy-winning songwriter Frank Myers and Lonestar's Richie McDonald, and his work has appeared on nationally released recordings. More recently, Greg has served as composer, lyricist, producer and guitarist with The Alexander Lane Band. At Ovation, Greg brings real-world songwriting, recording and performance experience to developing musicians, helping students strengthen their musicianship, creativity, confidence and understanding of what it takes to create music as part of a band.

CHELSEA BEACHY

Chelsea Beachy is a lifelong musician who began piano lessons at just four years old and went on to study several instruments. She began teaching at age 15 at the same North Carolina music studio where she grew up taking lessons, working with beginning students in piano, voice, guitar, ukulele and songwriting. Chelsea earned a bachelor's degree in Commercial Music Performance with a concentration in Artist Development from Liberty University. She later moved to Tennessee to pursue music full time and continues helping students develop their skills, confidence and musical goals.
